In this Episode, I interview special guest, Carrie Sheffield. She is a columnist & broadcaster in Washington, D.C. and an author of a bestselling healing memoir book “Motorhome Prophecies: A Journey of Healing and Forgiveness”. A Senior Policy Analyst at Independent Women’s Forum, Carrie earned a master’s in public policy from Harvard University, concentrating in business policy. She earned a B.A. with honors in communications at Brigham Young University and completed a Fulbright fellowship in Berlin. Carrie has also been a broadcast guest on media networks including Fox News, Newsmax TV, Fox Business Network, MSNBC, CNN, PBS, and BBC. In our authentic conversation, Carrie shares her “A Journey of Healing and Forgiveness” transformational God story about how God helped her break-free and recover from the trauma of her abusive and tumultuous childhood past where she grew up with seven biological siblings in motorhomes, sheds, tents and houses. She shares about the abuse of religious cult brainwashing, poverty and sexual abuse, and how she found Christianity after many years as a bitter agnostic. In closing, Carrie shares about the power of forgiveness in healing from trauma and shares encouraging words to empower others to integrate their faith into their mental health recovery.

This Episode also includes a mental health tip from  ministry partner and licensed mental health professional, Sherrie Pucket.
